Spiral Your Spine, Strengthen Your Core

Inspired by the movement methods of Julio Horvath and Joseph Pilates. Spiral, twist and undulate your spine, breathe deep and deepen your core strength. While both methods are strengthening, Horvath’s emphasizes spinal, joint and fascial mobility and Pilates emphasizes stability. This class offers the best of both movement worlds! Both are important to any mover, dancer or athlete.

We will start class with a head to toe self ‘massage’ to wake up your nervous system and shed unwanted tension. Next, seated rhythmic movements and breathing will begin to mobilize your spine, hips, shoulders, feet and more! Once you are thoroughly warmed up we will move to the floor for more fluid, whole body movements, stretches and core strengthening that draw from both the Horvath and Pilates Methods. Some classes will also include a standing series.
