This class is designed for people with osteoporosis and osteopenia. While weight bearing exercise and strength training are crucial for building the strength of your bones, if done incorrectly they can actually fracture your bones and contribute to spinal collapse.

The do’s and don’ts of exercising with osteoporosis and osteopenia
What movements are beneficial and which to avoid
How to move both in and out of class with correct form and good posture
This is a strength training class. Come ready to work! Alice will teach this class informed by the excellent work of PT Karena Thek, Rebecca Rotstein (creator of Buff Bones) as well as the recommendations of the Mayo Clinic and the Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF).
